The Singles Adventure List

Being single is just where you’re at right now.

Many people in long-term relationships or marriages envy the freedom of their single friends. Those same single friends dream of a partnership and wish to meet someone ASAP. But isn’t it all just a piece of the journey? Sometimes, we’re single, and sometimes, we’re not. Some adore having a plus one, while others prefer an independent lifestyle.

Why should one be better? Hint: It’s not.

Being “available" can end at any time. To make the most of it, here are 25 ways to make the single journey a damn good time while you’re there.

The Single Adventure List 🖤

  1. Take Yourself on the Ultimate Solo Date

Dress up like a star. Pick a fancy restaurant or that trendy café and own the whole experience. Order your favorite meal, people-watch, and enjoy the pleasure of your own company. Loud and proud, like you own the room.

  2. Travel Somewhere New – Solo

Choose a destination, pack a bag, and go! Maybe it’s a quick road trip to a nearby town or a flight to a place you’ve always dreamed of. What trip were you waiting on love for? Paris? Greece? Costa Rica? Solo travel builds confidence, independence, and memories you won’t forget.

  3. Host a “Friendsgiving” or Solo Dinner Party

Whether it’s Thanksgiving or for no reason, gather your single friends, cook up a storm, or pick a potluck theme. Enjoy a night filled with laughter, wild stories, and maybe some games. And then repeat.

  4. Take a Class That’s Totally Out of Your Comfort Zone

Dancing, pottery, rock climbing—whatever you’ve been curious about but never tried. Dive in, meet new like-minded friends, and discover a hidden passion or a hilarious disaster.

  5. Write Down Your “Single Life Goals”

Sit down and pen a mini-manifesto on what you want to do while you’re single. What are your goals? What do you want to experience? This is about owning this chapter and defining it your way.

  6. Create Your Dream Space

Redecorate, reorganize, or rearrange your space to reflect the true you. Fill it with colors, books, plants, or art that feel like you and only you. Create a sanctuary that’s all yours. Razzle dazzle up your surroundings.

  7. Dance at a Concert or Festival—Alone

Go to a concert, let loose, and dance like no one’s watching. Experience the pure thrill of being in the music, all for you.

  8. Make a Vision Board for the Future

Forget about what others think. Focus on what you want: career goals, places you want to see, things you want to try. Put it all on a board and let it remind you of all the dreams you are currently manifesting.

  9. Go Offline for a Weekend

Turn off the notifications and spend a weekend just for you. Take a digital detox to reconnect with yourself, journal, meditate, or simply bask in simplicity. Don’t have a full weekend? No problem—an afternoon will work too.

  10. Find a Volunteer Project You’re Passionate About

Giving back feels amazing, especially for a cause that speaks to your heart. Spend a day or two doing something good and watch how it fills your soul and brings purpose to your life.

  11. Splurge on Something You Want

Have you had your eye on a particular item? Buy it. Gift yourself something that makes you feel fabulous just because you deserve it.

  12. Try a New Hobby Every Month

Dedicate each month to trying out a new hobby or activity. Join a painting class, start a garden, take up improv comedy—keep trying new things until you find something that lights you up.

  13. Explore Your Own City Like a Tourist

Pretend you’re new in town! Visit local landmarks, museums, quirky shops, or scenic spots you’ve never been to. You might just fall in love with your city all over again. Write out a city must-do list and check things off the list as you go.

  14. Do a Photoshoot Just for You

Get dressed up, glammed, and rockstar-ready for a solo photoshoot. Whether or not it’s with a friend or a pro, capture your star quality and celebrate the confidence that comes with flying solo (go as wild as you want).

  15. Go to a Movie Alone – and Get the Big Popcorn

There’s something truly freeing about sitting in a dark theater, popcorn in hand, all by yourself and in any seat you choose. Why not go for some chocolate, too?

  16. Learn a New Language (Even Just the Basics)

Pick a language that calls to you and start learning. Whether it’s just enough to order food on a future trip or a full-on commitment, it’s a skill just for you.

  17. Write a Love Letter to Your Future Self

Write a letter filled with encouragement, love, and humor about your single life right now. Seal it up and read it on a rainy day when you need inspiration.

  18. Have a Picnic in the Park with a Good Book

Pack some snacks, bring a cozy blanket, and settle in with a book you’ve been dying to read. Let the vacation vibes and solo time recharge you.

  19. Make an “Accomplishment” List

Instead of a bucket list, write down all the amazing things you’ve already done. Celebrate those moments and use them as motivation to keep going. Don’t be shy…brag about yourself.

  20. Learn to Cook Your Favorite Dish Perfectly

Become a master at your favorite recipe. Not only is it a rewarding skill, but it’s also something you can do to fully enjoy the moment. Treat it as an art project.

  21. Visit a Psychic or Get Your Chart Read

See what the stars (or cards) have in store for fun. Maybe you’ll get insight into your future or at least a fun and memorable experience.

  22. Give Yourself a Whole Day of Self-Care

Pamper yourself with no apologies. A bubble bath, face mask, a spa day, a lazy Netflix binge—it’s your day, so spoil yourself silly. If guilt surfaces, evict it.

  23. Write Your Bucket List of Non-Romantic Goals

Dream big about what you want to achieve in every other area of life (except love). Craft a life full of experiences you want regardless of relationship status.

  24. Set a Fitness Challenge Just for You

Maybe it’s a 10k, a dance class, or learning a new yoga pose. Push yourself to accomplish something you’ve always wanted to do physically, just for you.

  25. Celebrate a Milestone or Throw a “Single-versary”

If you come upon your single-versary or any other milestone you want, throw yourself a party with zero apologies. Even send out a gift registry. After all, it’s celebrating you, so why not go full-throttle?
