5 Ways to Live More Unapologetically

It’s hard to let go.

So many want to live more of a f**k-free life, and for those who have put others first, this is the great mountain to climb. Sometimes, we just have to simplify and shift here and there. As we know, one slight movement can create some big breakthroughs.

Here are five ways to live more unapologetically.

  1. No one holds a crystal ball for your future. Even psychics get it wrong a lot of the time. No one will know what is best for you, but you will feel it when you land on it yourself. What do you want?

  2. If someone doesn't have their path figured out, why would they know yours? Forget everyone else’s hunches and intuitive guesses (above). Most people don't have their own lives perfected, so why would they know what you should do?

  3. Not everyone wants you to succeed. Sometimes, it can be someone you trust most. People can love and be jealous of you, so cherish your dreams. You are lucky to have them; not everyone has a desire they want to fulfill or dares to follow it. Plans can be kept private for as long as you wish—you are not obligated to tell people what you are working on.

  4. Life unfolds as it should; you will know what to do as you go. All the plans in the world mean nothing until you're out there experiencing it all. You will know what feels right when you're doing it. There's no getting it wrong if you trust your gut in the moment. Have fun fine-tuning your desires.

  5. You can always go back to whatever you were doing. Okay, you may not get back the same job, relationship, or apartment, but sometimes we figure out we love where we already were, which is a good thing. It happens, and it gives us great clarity and gratitude. Remember, that city you left will still be there, and that class you regret not taking will still exist (in one form or another). If you are breathing, you can call in another chance. And another...and another. Trust the urge to try something new.

Life is incredibly short, and it gets fun when we start owning our own choices.

Mistakes and all.
